I had a dream last night that when I got up, there was a light dusting of snow on everything. LOL This morning, when I really got up, there was SNOW; a light dusting on everything. Weird.
I had two errands to run this morning after I took Caitlin to school. Before I could bring her to school, I had to put some gas in my van. The gas light had been on for a few days... oops. Since I was there, I figured I would treat my self to a cappichino. I normally get the Carmel Charger, but of course, they were out so I got the Vanilla Charger. Mmm still yummy Oh.. Back to errands. I dropped Caitlin off at school, then headed to the bank to find out they do not open the drive thru until 8:30am. It was only 8:22am when I pulled thru, so I figured I would go run my other errand; to pay the water & trash bill before they disconnect me some time after 11am. I went to the Water company building on Elm. I walked thru the front door, didn't see any signs or anything, and the second inside door was locked. Then I looked at the disconnect notice and realized the address was different from the one I was at. A guy was coming to work, so I asked him if this was the place that I pay my bill, of course, he told me no. I had to go to City Hall to pay it. That made me a bit nervous, because I had only been there once before, and I was giving them a check knowing there is no money in the account, and I signed it (I'm not on the account). They didn't give me any trouble about giving them the check. WHEW. So after that, I went to the bank drivethru & they were now open.

House
Second, why would you use those nasty peel n stick tiles? They are crappy, there are little spaces between them that dirt and goo gets stuck in, and they MOVE. Yes, they move. And they come unstuck. I would rather have lino through out the kitchen and back stairs then them.
Third, why would you cover up a doorway that goes from the kitchen into the entry way by the front door. Why would you leave the back side looking like a door, but the front side a nice finished wall? That is just silly.
Fourth, why would you put two layers of lino in the bedrooms? Yes, I said bedrooms. WTF is that shiat?? Did you know that years ago they would use a tar like substance to get the lino to stick? Yeah. I get to scrape that off the floor. The nice hardwood floor. It needs to be refinished, but for the most part, its in good shape.
Fifth, whats with the unlevel basement floor? why is a section about five feet by seven feet two inches higher then the rest of the floor??
Sixth, outside between the house and the garage door, the "patio" is so uneven and crumbling in some spots, and obviously patched in others. This makes for difficult shoveling and a nice place for ice & leaves to accumulate.
Ok but I really do like our house. Our home. Really.. .I do

Winter Weather Advisory
I wish I had batteries for my camera... I let my monsters outside to play in the snow while I did some more shoveling. They had a blast...
Stupid battery operated things. :|
Ok still not sure about the new meds, but having had the stomach flu, which seems to be transforming into a cold, kinda is not helping. And now my body aches from shoveling all that snow. Having two driveways kinda sucks when it comes to snow...
Ohh Desperate Housewives is on! TATA!

Recovering
I figured I might feel better after taking one of my medications... So around 7, I took my lamictal. I began to feel a little less dizzy and shaky around 9pm. I can not wait to go to take my other med, go to sleep, and wake up feeling OKAY in the morning. Then I get to pick up after two days of no one picking up after them self. WOW its amazing what two days can do to a house. Must make the house into a nice cozy home again tomorrow.
I talked to my aunt Dawn tonight on the phone for over an hour. Its nice to talk to someone who understands what it is like to suffer from depression on the same level as myself. I discovered that we are on two of the same medications too. That's always interesting to see how medications affect other people. I told her how I used to take all three of my medications at night, and now being off Zoloft and on Effexor, I was told to take it in the morning and how I never remember if I had taken it that day or not. She mentioned that I should write it down. That was one of those DUH! moments that takes someone else to point out for you. I write EVERYTHING else down on my calender... why not what time I take my medication that day??
So tonight, to help me better remember to write down when I take my meds, I cleared off two days worth of soda bottles, cereal bowls, and other miscellaneous crap that collected on top of my ginormous desk calender. Turns out, tomorrow is "Computer, and book check out" so I threw Caitlin's library book on top of her coat, which happens to be on the floor of the entry way.
Oh I hope after taking my medications at the right time tonight and tomorrow help my day go better! I feel like I completely missed two whole days...

Hmm
Okay I think it is time I made a New Years Resolution or two.
1) Stick to my schedule. Cleaning, sleeping, living. Flylady has really helped me out in the past, and I need to stick with this.
2) See no. 1
Ok what other intellectual thing can I add to my blog today... hmm
We got a computer from Tonys brother who got it from someone who got a new one. I can totally see why they got a new computer. This one has a hard drive so small, it goes by MB. LOL crazyness! I might have to use some of the money we got for Christmas from our TFMR buds to buy the kids a new hard drive. Now I just have to find a small, yet not too small one for cheap.
Ok time to get dressed and off to work... er well home... to clean n stuff.. See no. 1

Sick Kiddo, Cold weather, Snow
So it was very cold yesterday. The temp never made it above 9 (F). Our poor furnace was on almost none stop yesterday. Darn drafty old house! Oh well.. we will get that taken care of soon. I did spend a few bucks on caulking when we first moved in. I caulked around all of the inside windows except the basement. And that must come next. It is freezing down there. Must warm it up.
This morning, I slept in. The kids slept in. Weird. I didn't get up until 8:30. When I did get up, I took the dog out, and it was snowing, and accumulating fast. I would love to take the kids out to play in the snow, except Caitlin is sick, and its still only 5(F) outside. So we will sit inside and watch the snow fall. Hopefully it will stick around a while after it warms up a bit.
Ok time to go play with photoshop!
Friday, January 12, 2007
OMG
Its been between 1 and 9 degrees (F) all day. That doesnt include the bone chilling wind that keeps popping up!
Caitlin says tonight "Its going to be warm tomorrow, mom" I said "what makes you think that??" "Because I have school" ... "Tomorrow is Saturday, Caitlin"
Tomorrow will be one week since I started Effexor. I am still unsure if I am just going thru withdrawels from the Zoloft, or getting used to the Effexor, or both. I definatly dont feel like I did before I started the Effexor though. That is good.

Whew
Just thought I would update. Not sure what else to say... Course I could say that I had a mania induced cleaning session the other day. That was fun. Four straight hours of nothing more then cleaning. I did everything from picking up around the house, to vac'ing the floors, sweeping, mopping, dusting, laundry, dishes (well the dishwasher did them), cleaned the counters... and other cleaning things. LOL

Oh yeah...
Im not sure what was going on in the pretty princess castle room last night, but neither of the children wanted to sleep in there. I found one kid in bed with me, not sure what time that was, or when or how she went back to her own bed. I found the other sleeping on the couch when I was moving around.
Guess What?
I remembered to take my new meds this morning. Im supposed to take this one in the morning. I hope I continue to remember because I usually take them all at night. Wish me luck!
Hmm what to do to day... I think we are working on cleaning up the basement again...

Happy New Years!
Im not going to make any new years resolutions this year. I failed miserably at last years. I did not stick to my schedule, causeing much chaos for my family. I guess you could say that I sort of did the visit more of the family thing by moving to Mason City, Iowa, since the girls have great grandmothers in Iowa Falls. I have yet to go there. I failed to keep up to date with my scrapbook group, and other clubs because of moving, having no internet on my computer, then my computer blew up. I dont think I will ever be able to "relax and enjoy life" because I am always stressed and tense.
So I guess in a round about way, I have not taken any steps to better myself or life.

The Zeus
My new thing for the day is, he stays in his kennel. I let him outside when ever he barks. This will hopefully do two things A) he barks to go out, 2) he doesnt bark when hes in his kennel. HA! Wish me luck, hes already been out twice for barking while in the kennel.
Pickin on Caitlin
*pushes Deja off the desk*
Ok so Im not sure on how this got started, but last night was "Pick on Caitlin" time. Shes always asking whats for dinner, is it ready yet, and a million other questions. So Tony, Bryan and I told her it was her turn to make dinner. She told us that she didnt know how to cook... So we all whined about how hungery we were. She said "FINE!" and said she only knew how to make peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. We all said "OKAY!" and she was off to the kitchen. She took out the bread & jelly and then said "I DONT KNOW WHERE THE PEANUT BUTTER IS"... "Oh there it is..." Then we all yelled to her how we wanted our sandwiches. One of us said w/mustard, another said toasted, another said mayo. We kept changing our minds and saying something else. It was so cute... she took her chair into the kitchen and says "I can not reach the plates!" She proceded to get the bread open and put it into the toaster (i have it on almost the highest setting cuz i make myself english muffins for breakfest) ... Im not really sure what she did between, cuz i was on the couch and could not see into the kitchen.
I asked tony, is she really making toast? He shook his head yes... LOL a few mins later, we hear the toaster pop... then we smell burnt toast... she says something about how its burnt or too done or something...
After about 20 mins of us badgering her, she walks out of the kitchen with a peanut butter & jelly sandwich for Zoe, then brings out her sandwich... lol
omg it was so funny...

Happy Saturday!
So I guess we are supposed to get some snow? My FFweather says no snow till Sunday...but I guess thats only tomorrow... As long as the snow doesnt affect the kids going back to school.
My friends boy is here today too (he was here yesterday) so hopefully the kids stay busy. Im not sure what I am gonna do today but I need to be productive.
Stupid paypal! I am tring to shop for our TFMR Secret Santa gifts, but it wont let me pay for my stuff (even though I have more then enough in there) because I dont have a credit card or bank account attatched to my paypal anymore. STUPID. bleh.

Christmas / Winter Break
With all the toys they got for Christmas, you would think they would have stuff to do all day every day for the rest of the next year... but noooo....
Caitlin has been talking non stop! Even the entire ride to Hayward, and part of the way home, she chattered. Endlessly. About nothing. Kinda like im doing here. LOL
Then there is Zoe, who can not pass a day with out throwing a fit. She constantly asks for food. Zoe -"Mom can I have fruit snacks?"
me - "you just had some"
Zoe - "mom can i have..."
me - NO you just ate breakfest...and you didnt even finish it.
Zoe - "MOM CAN I HAVE FRUIT SNACKS?"
(she will ask every minute for the next twenty mins) ...
then she moves on to
Zoe - "MOM can i have a cereal bar?"
me - NOOOOOOOOOOOoo (again every min for the next twenty.)
Zoe - "MOM can i have juice?"
me - "Sure you can have some juice" *pours juice into cup*
Zoe - " I WANTED MILKKKKKKKKKKKK"
UGHHHH!
Then some where in there every day she throws a fit... even if I say things like "You have finish your cereal first" or "After Dora is over you can" or "You can have some after you finish eating your lunch"

Day before Christmas...Con't.
Saturday morning, R & K , and B & K came over to open presents with the girls since we would be gone for Christmas Eve & Day.
Zoe actually got to open her presents because she wasnt ill yet. She did need some help because she wanted to play with the first one she opened. Then the second... then the third.... lol
Heres some pics of their gifts!
Caitlins Doodle doggie!
Zoes Doodle kitty!
Littlest Pet Shop Biggest Pet Shop!
Monkeys...
Doggie
More... lol ok we dont have ALL these, but we do have MOST of them... I was tring to get it to show the page with our pets saved, but its not gonna happen i guess...
Caitlin asked for this dog. A dog with a collar. I was completly baffled... I had no clue what she was talking about. One day when i was at Fleet Farm, I asked. They showed me the wake up rescue pet! LOL OK now i was getting some where. Kim had asked me what else to get the girls, and the dog popped into my head! Heres their dogs!
Caitlins Rescue Wake Me up Pet - She named her dog Sofie
Zoes Rescue Pet Zoe named her dog PeanutButter
The girls carried their pups every where when we were gone... They barked most of the way to WI but I finally shut them off! LOL
Day before Christmas...

Happy Holidays
The girls got some really fun stuff. They got a puppet theater, a family of puppets, some roylaty puppets, a cookie baking set, a pastry baking set, silverware, utensil set, bedding, really cute clothes, and pajamas!

Good Morning!
Today is late start, so Caitlin did not have to be to school until 9am. I am happy I did not go back to sleep because I would not have wanted to get up to take her! Caitlin is "Super Star" this week. That means she decorates a "All about me" poster, brings in different things every day. Tuesday is favorite toy, Wednesday is favorite book - She chose "How do Dinosaurs Clean their room", Thursday is "Bring your favorite hobby or collection" - Her collection are The Littlest Pet Shop toys which are very small so I took three pictures and printed them out for her to take to school, Friday she is to bring her favorite snack to share - She wanted to bring fruit snacks!
So we got her "class photo" on Friday. They dont make them the way they used to, you know, all the kids stand up infront of the camera. This came on an 8 x 10 sheet, with her photo being bigger, then smaller school pics of the other kids with their names under them. Weird. Oh well, at least no one got to make funny faces or bunny ears in it!
After taking Caitlin to school, Zoe and I went to WalMart. Have you ever had to LEAVE a store because of someones purfume?! OMG my nose was burning! Normally this sort of thing doesnt bother me so bad! My eyes started watering.. ugh.. I had to leave.. I wasnt done grocery shopping, but the whole side of the store smelled...
I want to paint the hallway today so I can put up my curtains! I dont like those stupid pull down roller blind things. They dont like me either...
Caitlin, her teacher, and a few of her classmates were on the front page of todays paper! They did a fundraiser "Coins for Cheer". So go buy a paper! (well if you live here .. grandma.. LOL )
Im off!

Secret Santa
shirt!
LOL
damn dog bit me! Grr.. Its my own fault... I was brushing Caitlins hair when she said "Mom stuffing came out of Zeus's baby". (Zeus has a teddy bear) So... thinking omg he could swollow it, I immediatly reached down to grab it from him with no warning and I grabbed his mouth. So.. he bit me! Ouch ... it hurts... he actually broke the skin! :( Oh well.. Im over it, and I know he is.

Can I sleep now?
Today I made a pork tenderloin, sweet potatoes, mashed potatoes, green beans and buns (pulsbury of course!) Gma C and Craig brought some potato salad, baked beans w/ mini weaners, and some other salad stuff. They also made a pumpkin desert that was reallly yummy along with some chex mix. I put out pretzils, meat and cheese tray, and some christmas sugar cookies (pulsbury of course!) Hubby made (ok went to the store and purchased) a hersheys pie and a banana cream pie.
I am exhausted. I probably wont get anything done around the house for a few days now unfortunatly. That is no good. Positive thoughts. I must remain productive. I have to take a road trip next weekend and I need to leave my house in an orderly fashion so I can return to a nice clean house.
...ooo000(flylady says "just 15 mins!")
just

Ugh! I CAN DO IT. ... i hope...

My dr is trying to kill me
Anyways, I went two days without the third pill. I felt weird yesterday. Like I had zero energy and zero drive to do ANYTHING. That sucked. We are having a get together at our house on Sunday, and I have lots to do before then. An entire day wasted.
Ok gotta take the kid to school!

Chapter 2
The mother of my pug pup gave birth to two males and one female, female being mine. Well, the female died :( saving the lives of the boys :P
Thats ok. Zues can get more used to us, and winter can pass then I will think about getting one. Might be easier to train a puppy in the spring then winter.
R.I.P. my pug puppy!!
Chapter 1
Things new with me and my family...
We got a house. An actual two bedroom 1 and a half story house with a full basement and a garage that was turned into a shop. What we thought was not our back yard, turned out to actually be ours.
pics to come later
We got a dog. He is a mini pinscher, in a copper color. We sort of rescued him. The owner, if you can call him that, left him outside all of the time because his g/f did not like dogs. When the "owners" sister went to pick up Zues, he was in his kennel in the garage with no food or water. When we got him, you could see every one of his ribs. :( poor doggie ... hes doing much better! :) Pics to come later
Ok hands hurt from scrapeing off old wallpaper.... more later...

My poor blog!
Hmm so whats new... Hubby got a job at a radio station doing sales. He loves it! Him getting up at 7am is kind of strange, esspecially when he DJ's the night before!
I start my first appointment with "talk therepy" today. Im excited, but kind of nervous.
So lets see what did we do this summer... We camped a couple of times... that was fun, until we got rained out the second day. We then took off and went to the outlet mall in Minnesota. We visited the Lime Creek Nature center twice, went to East Park to feed the ducks and play. Then they had a "Night Out" at the park so we got to meet the police and some firemen and tour the rescue truck. The fire truck had to go to a fire... lol
So its Tuesday. I got the kids all ready to go.. shoes, hair, clothes, coats, backpacks... we left the house and we reached the sidewalk before I realized that it is TUESDAY. Tuesday means a half an hour late start. We would have been standing at the bus stop for a half hour in the cold drizzly crappy weather! Whew! Glad I remembered before we stood there!
Ok... arms are hurting, not used to typing any more :(

Ugh.
So I get a call from Express Personel Services at god knows what early morning time ... "Can you come in before you go to your appointment at *********?" Ok I have no idea what I said, and I barely remember even talking to them. So I call them back after I realized I talked to them... So I went there around 11:15am. Filled out an application, took a mini test and was told to go to my appointment at the other place (its a job thru them) So I go there and take my test there for the job, one part personality, another reading and comprehension, and the last one was math. Yeah. I failed. I know I failed the R&C and the math parts... Makes me wonder if I totally failed the personality one too lol ...
OK so by the time I get back to EPS's, they tell me I failed, then ask if I still wanted to take my typing test incase another job opening comes up. Sure. Why not. Im there already right? Well it was 1:10pm, and my "appointment to test" was at 2. So I went to the Iowa Workforce Department to turn in four applications I got yesterday. And back to EPS I go ... Typing typing, alpha numeric, 10 key... yeah I did 58wpm for typing, and I did pass another thing, but I failed the 10key, and another one... Woot.
Well all day I have been waiting for a phone call from Kelly Services because my paycheck did not show up on my "payroll debit card" like it should have. Finally when I got home, I got through to someone and they told me that there was an error due to the holiday and they are aware of it, and they called everyone with an automated thing....
... Kim comes down this morning, and I ask her "who the heck called?" She said that one of them was just silence... so she hung up.. I totally would have done the same too... Turns out, that was my automated service calling me. lol I told them to delete that number from existance and ONLY call my cell... heh figures.
So its now 4:22 pm, and I feel like one great big broke failure!
Thursday, July 06, 2006
Wow
I reallly really really miss our cable internet. I miss the speed and the fact I could be on it when ever I wanted... Or that I could make phone calls while I am on the internet...
I am in charge of an online group and ive been neglecting it because the page wont ever load :( My husband is realllly behind on getting new music for work too.. sux.
WOOT! I have a "test" tomorrow for a temp agency, its a typing, word, & excel test... so if i pass that, i go to the company and take another test. I hate tests! But I hope I pass! Wish me luck!
bleh. ok thats it.

You know your fat when...
So for the most part, other then it being a four letter word, I like work. I like work at KRAFT. I am still looking for a nice desk job because that i could do full time where as the KRAFT thing my body can only handle so much... I stand and walk a lot. The plant is HUGE. I wouldnt mind, but i get wayyy warm when I walk to do the trash and collect cardboard n stuff.
So everyone says "your moving to IOWA?" or "you moved HERE?" like there is some big horrible thing about Mason City, Iowa. There are the same type of people everywhere you go. There will always be the gossipers, the trouble starters, the lazy bastages that dont do jack shit... and so on. Some one asked me before I moved here "why do you think MC IA would be better then any of the other places you lived?" My reply was "nothing... I am not expecting anything to be any different."
OK im being wayyy tooo wordy...
So anyways...
lol
just kidding
...done.

One of those days
So I got up gave the kids breakfest n stuff, then around 10 I showered and got ready for work at noon... I had errands to run.. Well I stopped at the bank to open a checking account, and failed. I guess my other bank gave our stuff to check systems... great...
Well after that, I drove around and went to Walmart... by then I had to go eat so I could be to work on time. Well I got to work a bit early, so I sat in the car and checked my yahoo mail on my phone and added some stuff to it... Well anyways... At 11:45, I went inside.. I went to sign in (we have to sign in and out, and punch in and out lol) and I hear this girl being told that she should have been called because they cut hours due to one of the machines being down. Well Dan saw me and said "Hey! Your in the same boat as she is! Yours were cut too. Didnt they call you?" Um no? If they did, i would not be there right? LOL So I asked if I could get my 3 free cases of pudding, got them and left.
Wow. Its noon, what do i do? Well I figured it would be a good day to bring my resumes to the other temp agencys that work more with office jobs... So I drive to the one temp agency on my list... Personet or how ever its spelled.. I grab my resume off the top of my large stack and head on in fearless. They have a sign in the window that says "We help you find great jobs!" So I walked in and said "Im looking for a great job!" lol anyways... I gave her my resume and she handed me a stack of paper work. I was totally not prepared for about half the stuff on there. How could I be soooo unprepared?? UGh... So I go home and fill out paper work .
BLEH! Tomorrow is another day.
AND I asked if my hours for tomorrow and Sunday got cut, and they did not! WHOOHOO!
I like having a job. They mail me money.

.................... I FREAKIN SAW IT BEFORE.................................
UGh. lol sux2bME
wow
.... At the end of the night as people were flowing out the door (not very gracefully btw), I see this girl making out with this guy in the parking lot. Then he walks away, and she gets on her cell phone and the first things she said when who ever answered was "Hey baby!"... nice... lol ...
The girl on the cell phone leaves DRUNK and TALKING ON HER CELL ... I told the owner, "ya know if your gonna drink and drive, DONT do it while talking on your cell!!!" I told Tony the same thing a few seconds later...
blahblah... I drove the van out and Tony had his car, so we were going to meet up and go in one car to walmart. On our way into town, I saw two cop cars taking up both lanes of the road ... So I took a detour. When Tony picked me up, I said "soooo your gonna drive past that RIGHT?" (i really am VERY nosy) Guess who got into a car accident! Ill give you one guess.... did you guess it?? DRUNK CELL PHONE GIRL!!!!!!!!! P'owned!!
I am happy that it looked like a minor accident, and not a major one... but I am sure she will be in some deep shit... Tony said she had all kinds of booze in her car too... opened...
Ok thats all I got

Happy Birthday to me
Well I called Target today... The HR person was not in, but I talked to someone that was able to tell me that they had already filled the two only positions. :/
So after finding out that news, I called Comfort Inn, and the lady was not there, so I left a voice message for her. I also called Farm & Fleet to see if they reviewed my application.
Wonderful. Van payment due in four days along with car insurance by Monday. Yippie!
Other then that I didnt do much of anything today. Didnt feel like it...
Kim is going to watch the girls tonight so I can go out the the bar that Tony DJ's at... I hope I have some form of fun.
Caitlin kept asking me "Can we bake you a cake?" I said "No, I want an icecream cake and it would melt if you baked it"

What happed to Red?
The kids and I "moved" here on Monday. We are camping out in R & K's living room.
I went job hunting down here last Tuesday, so hopefully something comes out of that...
7:00 AM Phone rings.... me "Hello?" angry aunt on the line. ack. Good thing I was already awake and had my morning cig. (Its like coffee drinkers, do NOT talk to them before their first cup)
Today I went back to Comfort Inn but the lady I should talk to will not be in until tomorrow. I got my calendar marked! I also went to the temp agency in town and talked with them. They have two job postings at this time. One is at KRAFT filling jello cups, and the other is an assistant sales associate for a cell phone place. Um ya. I cant sell shit to dung beatles. So I have to go back in Thursday June 8th for some training or test or something.. not quite sure. I marked that on my calendar too (and not the ginormous one. that stayed behind along with 98% of our things... - the cats. they are living on the porch so we can be near them)
So yeah. Ok done.
LOL

Parenthood
We do not raise children, we raise adults. – Dr Phil
This is so true. Yes, in a way you raise children, but you are mostly raising them to be adults. They have to learn that things are not free, and not everything is done for them. They must be able to go off to college and succeed in the world alone. You can not be with them all the time when they are adults. You teach behaviors, children learn from what you teach them, what you say to them, and what kind of parent that you are. They were not born with bad behavior, it is a learned behavior. If you have ever said something out loud, then later hear it from your child, it can be an eye opening moment of the awful truth. My husband and I believe that everything you do or say to a child before the age of six will transform them into what they will be. It is all up to you as a parent on what and how you teach your child.
As a parent for the last five years, we have learned many things. You learn that your life is not over it just has a new beginning. For those who say your life is over, have never experienced a pregnancy of a loved one, the birth of a child, first baths, teeth, crawling, first steps, or a first birthday. These things are wonderful milestones to any caring parent.
Children do not come with manuals although some parents wish they did. There are several good books to help you along the way, but these books are like people with opinions on how you should raise your children. You take what works for you and discard the rest. Sometimes it gets hard to listen to everyone who has something to say about how exactly you should raise your child right down to what they should wear, what religion they should follow, what music they should or should not listen to, what television shows are best. The advice can be extremely overwhelming.
You know when you take a wrong turn in parenting because it comes back to haunt you. My children have been able to freely watch TV as they wish. They have a TV in their room, and it is always on. When they eat, they want to watch the TV in the living room. Most of the time, the TV is just something going on in the background for my children. Other times they cuddle with their favorite blanket and toys and chill. Every one needs time to just relax.
Today, as I do my daily tasks, I shut the TV off so I could listen to music. That was over an hour ago now. All I have heard for the last hour from Caitlin is “Mom can I watch TV?” “Mom will you turn on the TV?” “I’m going to turn on the TV if you don’t mom” “I don’t like you because your not letting me watch TV.” This is when you realize you have gone too far. Changes need to be made and fast.
I know we have well behaved children, but sometimes they lash out. If you think about it, it is something that we have done or not done that creates this behavior in the child. Everything you do affects your child and their childhood even the small things.
I hope I can steer my children on to the right path in the future. I am going to start some major TV rules today. Wish me luck, I think I need it.

McDreamy vs. McVet
..
..
..
..
..
..
..
..
...........OMG I cant belive the finale! Well I can, because we all just KNEW it was leading up to this. After last seasons finale, we were left with Meridith standing by McDreamy and the wife that Meridith did not know about until then...
So now, we are held at this point where she is standing there and has to choose between McDreamy (who she just had hot steamy sex with) or McVet (the guy she thinks will give her some stability in life and is a great catch)... Who willl she choose?? UGH! The agony! And now we will be stuck at this point until fall.... lol
Makes for great tv !
Now bring on the two hour finale of Desperate Housewives and 24! The prison break finale was not so ... cliff hanger 'er... Yet still good..
G'Night!

Routines
Since I have this ginormous calendar in front of me at all times, I figure now would be a great time to get back into my daily, weekly, and monthly routines. This might not be easy at first because I have been slacking for so long, but I have to at least give it a try, right? They are all written down right in front of me, so my only excuse would be because I am lazy.
But I am lazy. I don’t mean to be, I just don’t ever feel like doing anything at all. Maybe it’s my bi polar, maybe my meds are not right, but I am not screaming like a banshee at my children daily, or am extremely moody, so they should be okay, right?

Product reviews by InsomniacRed
My reviews
There are a few products out there that make my life easier.
The Swiffer Vac: I love this. It is so easy to just run it around the kitchen with out a broom and dustpan. To empty it is simple; just remove the little plastic thing and throw the crumbs away. Once in a while I have to change the filter, but these are pretty cheap. They also have the Swiffer pad that goes behind the vac.
The Swiffer duster: I love being able to throw away my dust. There is a new product out there that is coping them, but I will stick to my Swiffer. If you own one of these dust bunny collecting contraptions, you MUST check out the online demo on how to fluff your duster. LOL . I saw a commercial where they used the Swiffer in a car, what a brilliant idea, now if I can just remember to bring one to the van,
Pledge Multi Surface: This really does work on my desk, windows, and television screen. Not so much on getting those finger marks or spit trails (Zoe likes to “spit draw”) off the coffee table, but the fact that dust does not stick to my stuff is awesome.
Clorox wipes: I love these darn things. But I only really like the Lemon scented ones. I want orange though! I love orange smelling cleaners… I have a container in the kitchen and another in the bathroom at all times.
Magic Eraser by Mr. Clean: This thing works as awesome as they say it does, especially with crayon. Awesome product
With all of these “disposable” products, the waste must be taking over the earth. Where does it go? All of the landfills by me have closed in recent years, so where does go? WHERE DOES THE SHIT GO? (Envy)

My day with Mr Hematologist...
I went to the Hematologist today. For those of you who have not heard the story why, here it is...
One night my husband was tucking me into bed, yes he tucks me in at night, he was like OMGWTF?! I said what?? He asked me what happened to your thigh? On my upper thigh, there were bruises, similar to those I had found on my shin. I don’t think this was the first time I noticed them on my thigh, but it certainly was very memorable.
So after my bruises came and went, I ended up having more bruising in the same exact spots. Okay, time to make a doctor appointment. He did some blood work, and my labs came back, one level was “off” as the doc said. The doctor told me if they come back, call him right away. So when they came back, I called and the nurse had me schedule an appointment with the hematologist.
… Back to today…
The Hematologist looked at all of my blood work all the way back to 2003. My iron levels went up and down thru out my pregnancy with Zoe, but came back up soon after I had given birth. The level that my regular doctor was talking about was one of the levels that are tested for clotting. The first one was fine, and the second one was a bit high. So Mr. Hematologist guy sent me for more tests; five of them to be exact. My arm hurts. Any who, when the tests come back, we will go from there. He did say that I could have a blood disorder, and these tests could tell us. He also said that if any of them came back abnormal, that I would have to go back in and have more blood drawn to have sent to the Mayo clinic in

Ticos Tale
Tico has a strange tail. It just seems longer then a cats tail should be. He is pretty sneaky sometimes. I will be walking down the hall way and pass him, and just as my foot is about to hit the floor, his tail swishes under my foot.
The other day I put the girls to bed and Tico was in there and he followed me out. He was meowing and rubbing up against the door frame and my leg. I went to close the door, and just as the door closed, he swished his tail into the butt of the door.
I always feel horrible when this happens, because I step on his tail a lot. I know he doesn’t do it on purpose, or does he...

Upset
Do not get me wrong. I am not saying that we dont need to address the problems they are having in Africa. I think more could be done. I think there could be more done with in the United States also. On the NBC site, there are several links going to some websites that are trying to do good in different places around the world.
Now if they would have a Dateline, or something about these problems, I would watch it. I expect a different kind of TV from them then I expect from a "drama" TV show. Some times I just need to escape from my problems (which are meaningless to those living in those conditions) and watch some stressless tv. Seeing these people suffer, kill each other, kill those who are trying to make a difference, is not my idea of entertainment unless its a "horror" movie. I guess this could just be a different way to make people aware of the problems in the rest of the world, but maybe some of us like being unaware sometimes.
I have been a fan of ER for a long time now. Ive seen characters come and go. I am attatched to the story line. If it were not for these reasons why I watch, after tonights episode, I would find something else to fill this time slot for entertainment purposes only.
And now I must take my angry self to bed!!!
Thursday
... Then I realized it is Thursday and he is probably at the bar getting ready to work. duh
Caitlin went right to bed tonight. I always turn their tv on for a little while and normally she comes out for the usual "i need a drink", "i have to go to the bathroom, "I want a hug and a kiss" nightly routine. She did not come back out at all! I am almost sad cuz I didnt get a hug at 8:30!
Tonight is Thursday, a lot of good tv on tonight! Off to watch ER now...

Phobias
I have several phobias. I don’t know why, but I am scared of a lot of things. Some things bother me more then others. Below are some of my phobias.
Achluophobia: Fear of the dark or of night
Yup I am scared of the dark. I don’t know why, but I freak out if it’s too dark inside our apartment or anywhere I am staying.
I don’t like buildings. I hated driving downtown
I hate stairs. I do not like them. I hate stairs that you can see through, like basement stairs. They scare me a lot.
I do not like big crowds of people. It makes me very nervous. I think this might be a control issue, where I do not know what the actions the members of the crowd will take.
Dystychiphobia: Fear of accidents
Ochophobia: Fear of vehicles.
This phobia might stem from all of the car accidents I have been in. I have been in four car accidents, all the other persons fault. Two of the four accidents involved drunk drivers.
I hate vomiting. I get all shaky and cry if I know I have to vomit. I will force myself to try NOT to vomit. This usually turns out bad though.
Entomophobia: Fear of insects.
Not so much fear of actual bugs, but I feel like they are crawling on me. I freak out and look to see if it’s a bug, or just an itch.
This might be a heights thing, but I do not like big long high bridges. It took me a very long time to be comfortable with crossing the bridge from
Harpaxophobia: Fear of being robbed.
Kleptophobia: Fear of thieves or loss through thievery
Virginitiphobia: Fear of rape
I do not feel comfortable walking down the street by myself. I have this fear that I will be mugged, beaten and raped by some unsuspecting individual and left for dead. Even if there is no one around, my brain tells me that some one is hiding in the shadows or door ways just waiting for me to walk by so they can attack me.
Ophthalmophobia: Fear of being stared at.
When I go to the store, to a bar, or even walking down the street, I feel like every one is constantly staring at me. It’s a very creepy feeling.
I don’t really have a fear OF birds, it’s more of a fear that they will POOP on me. Yes. I am scared of bird poop.
Pediculophobia: Fear of lice.
When ever I feel something on my head, I freak out thinking its lice and how I am going to have to get rid of it. I think about how they will be every where in our home.
Arsonphobia or Pyrophobia Fear of Fire
I am scared my house will burn down in the middle of the night and I won’t be able to get out. I don’t like when people wave cigarettes near me, I am scared I will get burned. I have gotten over the fire pit thing because of camping. I love to play in the fire in the summer, but if it gets too big, it’s terrifying to me.
Panophobia, Panphobia, Pamphobia, or Pantophobia,
Olyphobia, Bromidrosiphobia or Bromidrophobia.
Panphobia:Fear of everything. A nonspecific fear; a state of general anxiety
These ones sum it up for me.
Sorry that you were forced to read about most things that terrify me, but hey it was your choice to read my blog in the first place!

Bitchy
Its cold and rainy today, for like the third day in a row. Not 3rd day in WI, but the previous two in Iowa. I am happy that it is raining because the grass, flowers and trees could really use it, but the drearyness that comes along with the rain I could do with out.
Every summer, we get invaded by the workers of the store downstairs (next door). They come from all over the world, and it is neat if you can have a conversation with them, which is rare until the end of the season when they have picked up on some english.
I hatehatehate living off of the "main" street in the summer. I can not park anywhere with in a reasonable distance for hauling groceries. It doesnt seem to matter what time of the day I go, I can not park out front. There are people everywhere. I walk out the door at the bottom of the steps and its like stepping into the middle of a stampeed.
I know our move came faster then we had expected, but it feels like it is taking forever for hubby to get hired full time anywhere. He is going to be manager at the bar hes working at, but theres no way we will be able to get caught up and enough money to move before fall. He is waiting to hear back from the radio station, but he had lunch with the guy a week ago.
BLEH! Ok

car rides, critters, hubby & houses
So… Wednesday around
We did not get to
When ever I travel, near or far, I always see critters along the way. This time I saw a dozen bald eagles, a woodchuck, and a flamingo.
Tony was at his parent’s house when I finally arrived. They had closed the bar early, so he took off home to meet me. It was great to see him. I miss him so much. We went out to get something to eat, and then we just drove around until I was ready to go to sleep.
Tony’s bar is awesome. The place is huge, the bar is big, and the dance floor is an okay size for the bar. They are trying to make it a biker bar because the owner and his brother are Harley guys. Bike night starts next week, I think.
We went house hunting. I saw the one that Tony and his mom saw. Tony and I saw it online and really liked it. I still sort of liked it in person, but I didn’t like the stairs. We looked at two other houses that day. We had our realtor set up more showings for the next day. Its funny how you find something and you know it’s the perfect one; husbands, rings, vehicles, houses. We found one we really love. We still like the first one, and if the sale of this one falls through, we could live in the other one easily. But this one is so perfect. The size is great, the layout is perfect; it has a porch, a small yard, attached garage, and a “den”. The “den” is half of what would be the porch, except its weatherized and has gorgeous French doors. HELLO!?! CRAFT ROOM??? lol
The kid’s grandparents took the kids for most of the weekend so I could spend time with my husband. We went house hunting and hung out. It was really nice spending time with Tony with out the kids. We hardly get to do this since we normally don’t have someone to watch the children.
The girls and I started for home around

My morning rant
My brain never shuts off. It constantly has something to think about. Whether it’s something silly like how I should clean this or that, what bills need to be paid, or I what I should do with the kids.
My brain just does not stop. It just goes on and on and on. If I were to speak the thoughts running through my head, I would never shut up. It is horrible, especially when my brain goes on its repeat mode.
I don’t think my brain knows how to stop running. It’s like the energizer bunny. It just keeps going and going. Why can I not just clear my brain even for five minutes?

Dumpster divin...
Have you ever gone dumpster diving? I never have. I never have stopped along side a dumpster and taken what was next to it or in it. The whole thought of it as being trash just grosses me out big time.
The reason why I bring this up is because when I moved the van last night, I had to wait for some guy who was taking up the whole alley with his car, and digging through the dumpster. It was just creepy. The dumpster diving man looked very scruffy, but not harmful.
The rest of the night I felt pretty freaked out because of the way my brain works. It likes to fixate on one thing and worry about it. Some times it likes to switch between thoughts like a mad person. Stupid bi polar!

Dreams...
Dreams are very intriguing. It’s amazing how your mind works. The things you dream about when you are asleep at night or just napping are crazy. Well my dreams are crazy. Maybe it’s because I am crazy!
I used to try to look up my dreams online with dream interpreter websites. I have given up trying to figure out what my dreams mean. A few of them are very simple for me to realize where they stem from.
A few of my dreams
I had just got out of bed, and I realize that there were baby snakes all over on the carpet. Crawling every where, every inch of carpet was covered in them.
When I had that dream, I was addicted to Animal Planet. I had watched several different shows about all kinds of animals, and one entire show was about the venomous snakes in
I had a dream that I was in prison. I don’t remember much of the details other then being in prison, surrounded by other inmates. During this time, I was watching Prison Break episodes 1 thru 14 in a matter of a couple of days.
Another one of my dreams was about Bam Margera. I was at some dinner party with Bam and several of his friends. After dinner, he asked me back to his hotel room to party. I told “I don’t think my husband would like that very much”. I have told Tony that if I would ever leave him for someone famous, it would be Bam. Yet in my dream, I did not.
Recently, when Tony came to visit, we were sitting together, and I looked at him and asked him if he had told me I needed to mop the floor. He replied with “Id never tell you to clean anything”. Makes sense that he would in my dream, since the floors do need to be mopped.

Happy Easter!
I am soo happy to see him! Its been 32 days since I have seen him. That is the longest we have ever been apart. We have been apart for a week at a time, a bit more when Heather and I went on our road trip vacation a couple years ago, but never this long. Its so good to see him! I missed him so very much!!

Wednesday
Is it WEDNESDAY April 19th yet? Please say yes. LOL
Ok so this could be fun. I will have to plan out some activities to keep the three of us super busy and maybe she wont jabber me to death.
My appointment with the hematologist is tomorrow. I am scared, yet relived that it is finally here. I made my appointment almost a month ago. But I guess he only comes to town once a month. Im just lucky he actually comes to this town. I have to drive an hour to see my mental health dr. I get to do that on the 28th. Weeeee cant wait...
LOL OK must leave on a positive note:
um...
hmm...
lol
well ok then!
Oh ok. So tomorrow is a full moon! I love the stars, the moon, the planets. I also recently rediscovered how much I love looking at clouds. I could not stop looking at them this afternoon, until the movment of them made my eyes all bugged out LOL

Horoscope, Chinese Proverb, & other wise words
Being born on June 1st, I am a Gemini. I like to follow my horoscope on a regular basis. I try not to live by it, but it is very interesting to read what it says.
This transit will inspire you to make money through unusual and intriguing means. You will have unique connections to your co-workers, and much can be learned if you observe their actions during this period. (88%)
You can make money through investments or working with products or services for the home. During this transit you may come into money through inheritance or family investments. You will keep close ties to your family, relatives and friends. (80%)
Brief summary of Gemini
Gemini has so many talents and interests; sometimes you may find that your attention gets split between too many things at once. It's just so easy for to start doing something, and then get distracted by something else that seems equally as fascinating. Yet this diversity will also be the root of your success, for you have the ability to accomplish much more than the average person, often in a relatively short time. You're able to keep track of a wide range of information that would confuse a lesser person. Rather than causing undue stress, the many demands on your time and attention actually seem to increase your energy and motivation.
It is very intriguing and I often wonder who comes up with this stuff. I don’t have any co-workers, so that makes it strange. I have no family that will die and leave an inheritance. I am sure my mother’s house will go to her husband, or his children. This really does not bother me except I could sell it for some cash. Yes I know how morbid planning my mothers death.
Today's Chinese Proverb:
"Govern a small family as you would cook a small fish, very gently."
I look to the Chinese Proverb of the day for inspiration. Sometimes it can be helpful, others not so much!
Buddhism: Your Daily Meditation
This 'real' nature with whose revelation the Chan Masters are primarily concerned, or the Atman-'I' of the Vedantists, is not the far-off, unreachable will-o'-the-wisp we are apt to imagine, but just the within of which we know the without. It is just the other side of the medal, and it lies wherever our senses and our intellect cease to function. - Ask the Awakened by Wei Wu Wei
The Buddhist way is very interesting.
Many sects and traditions will have different practices to complement the Eightfold Noble Path laid out by Shakyamuni Buddha, but all have these as their basis:
- Right Views: i.e., Knowledge of the Four Noble Truths:
- The world is full of suffering and stress. (glad someone realizes this)
- The cause of this suffering and stress is desires of physical instincts. (wow)
- If desire can be removed, and suffering and stress will be ended. (good words to live by)
- Desire can be removed by following the Eightfold Noble Path: Right Views, Right Thoughts, Right Speech, Right Conduct, Right Livelihood, Right Effort, Right Mindfulness, Right Concentration. (that’s a lot of rights)
- Right Thoughts: Aspire to attain realization of Nirvana, i.e., perfect wisdom, the ultimate true permanent reality. (so Nirvana really does exist)
- Right Speech: Abstain from all lying, falsehoods, evil, abusive and frivolous speech. (this should be easy)
- Right Conduct: Keep the Five Precepts:
- Abstain from taking life, (bad mafia, bad)
- abstain from taking that which is not given, (please do not steal)
- abstain from misconduct done in lust, (no lust for you!)
- abstain from lying, (this is common sense, which some people lack)
- abstain from all forms of intoxication. (no drinking, drugs, smoking, etc.)
- Right Livelihood: Abstain from all evil living and all manner of ill-gotten gain or means of livelihood. (ok, no spending that evil blood money)
- Right Effort: Abstain from all evil states of mind; foster and maintain virtuous states of mind; compassion, pity, sympathy, calmness and tranquility (this is hard to have all of these things at one time! Takes a lot of inner strength)
- Right Mindfulness: Regard everything as being impermanent, ill and corrupt: i.e., all feelings, perceptions, inclinations, consciousness, thoughts, mental states, mental images and mental activities. (I guess I don’t qualify because of my mental illness lol)
- Right Concentration: Foster dispassion, detachment, and revulsion for the things of the world as being decaying and impermanent. Practice aloofness from evil states of mind, from the senses and all sensations. Practice dwelling in solitude and seclusion, meditating and reflecting with singleness of mind. (hmm no friends.)
*the stuff in black is copied and pasted from some websites. The stuff in red are my words. I do not mock the Buddhism belief system. I have great respect for any person who can follow all of these “rights” for they are very strong.
