-sprayed the outside of the house, patio and garage with bug killer stuff
-sprinkled a different kind of bug stuff in my flower garden
-mowed the grass
-picked up more rocks under the snowball bush tree thing
-spread weed & feed under the snowball bush tree thing
-planted my "flowers" (the ones I started from seeds)
-dug up three bushes, roots and all
-filled in the holes from bushes and covered with "peat"
-trimmed the flowers lining the back wall of the garage to give my Daisy's & Black Eyed Susan's some sun
-filled the pool
-called out for food (this was the hardest obviously)
I feel like I am forgetting something! Oh and I did most of the above before noon. The stuff that came after noon was filling the pool and covering the holes. I was outside for almost 11 hours today! Pretty good for someone who does not like being outside!

Busy busy again!
Today was kind of a long day. Got the kids up and dropped Caitlin off at school, then went my usual Friday morning grocery shopping. Also I picked up a few non grocery items such as bug killer for my flower bed, some sand box toys, shave gel, razors, and some bug defense stuff that you spray around the inside and outside of your house.
Then at 9:30, Tony, Zoe and I were off to the school for Caitlin's "music program". I think it lasted about an hour, which is a long time for Zoe & Caitlin! I am way impressed by their behavior!
After leaving the school, we had to go get some lunch. We went to Burger King, then drove to Big Blue to eat our food. After that, we decided we better swing by the rent a center to see about getting a new dryer. We found one for 199, 90 days same as cash. We can totally come up with 199 before our 90 days. It is used, but it also is a decade newer then the current one that no longer wants to work.
After rent a center, I talked hubby into actually buying the sand box this week. *I* have only been talking about getting one since we moved in, figured since they were on sale a couple of weeks ago for almost 15$ off, and we had a rain check, we would stop and get one if they were in. We now have a box.full.of.sand. hehe The girls have been in there a lot already.
I managed to get in a nap as Tony trimmed the bigger branches of the tree I started on the other day. I guess I am not strong enough to use the giant cutters.
Around 4ish Tony's brother came to get him so they could go to a Psychostick concert in Cedar Falls. After they left, I called and asked MIL & FIL if the girls and I could join them for supper! So we all met at pizza ranch, and after going our separate ways, the girls, again, played in the sand box.
Ok so I guess I didn't do much today, but it sure feels like I did a ton!

What I have been up to!
Well I want to put a new flower bed in out front so I called the "Call before you dig" people. The utilities company's have been very busy marking things for me. I have yellow, blue, green and red spray paint in our yard and on the drive way. So far none will interfere with the new bed I want to put in!

I can not wait till I get all of the flower beds done! I am so excited that our rocks finally got here. I was waiting on them last week, and they did not come, so I finally called them and told them not to bring them because I did not want a mountain of rocks in our yard for the BBQ!
Caitlin had an appointment with the Ear, Nose, Throat doctor yesterday. She has failed several hearing tests at school. They continue to test her in hopes she will eventually pass. Turns out, after a few months and some anti biotic, she still has gooey fluid behind her ear drums. She had another hearing test along with some wax cleaned out of her ears. She will be getting tubes and have her tonsils and adenoids removed June 4th. Wish my little girl luck!
My husband got a new tattoo for his birthday! He got the girls initials on his arms. CM for Caitlin Marie, and ZN for Zoe Nessa
Caitlin has a school program May 18th and her class picnic! Wish for good weather! Don't want a bunch of kindergarten's with colds.
Well our dinosaur dryer broke. I suppose we could get it fixed, but if we fix the problem who says we aren't going to have future problems with it. The pilot light will not stay lit, which means we can not even dry one load since the flame goes on and off several times. Guess it is time to go dryer shopping.

busy busy
Today I was sooo busy. I went shopping for the BBQ, did some picking up outside, potted the plant that Caitlin grew at school for me for Mothers day, set up a "wasp" catcher thing, set up a humming bird feeder, set up another bird feeder (we like birds) and mowed our lawn.
I have not mowed anything in over twelve years. I was just a kid when I mowed last, and it took me forever. Our yard in Cotton was so huge, I divided it into four sections, only because the riding lawn mower was broke, and once I finished with the fourth section, I had to start over again! All I did for two summers was mow the lawn.
We like birds. I was watching TV one day and they had something on Animal Planet about being able to create a bird sanctuary and being "certified" or something like that. Well Id love to do that, but I guess I like to do it more for fun and its very interesting to watch all of the different kind of birds that our yard sees! Then Tony found something on the "wiki how to" about birds, and what kind of feeders are best. Apparently birds also like bird baths, or other water features. I did not know that! I guess I knew they liked bird baths, but thats all I ever thought about. It was very informative, and I actually moved one of our feeders to best suit the birds.
Ok time for bed. I have to clean the inside of the house tomorrow morning.

BBQ!

How long does it take to plan a BBQ for several people?? Hmm guess we will see if I can pull it off in about two days!! Because its happening Saturday @ 2pm! We will be celebrating Tony's 29th birthday! HAPPY BIRTHDAY BABY! (its not till Monday, but BBQ's are better on weekends, I think anyways...)

Have you ever...
done something when you were a kid that sticks in your memory like glue?? Today, I decided that the four of us should go tadpole hunting, catch them and let them grow before our eyes!
When I was a kid, this was an almost every year event. We would catch them, and either keep them in a five gallon bucket, or put them in my cousins old bathtub (it lived outside) that also housed a few turtles from time to time., and watch them grow!
No one seemed to know WHERE I could find tadpoles! So I drove to the closet place I knew where there might be some water. My husband directed a little bit further and off to a dirt road.
Well after walking down a steep hill with the girls who were scared, I figured the water was moving to fast, so we drove further down the road.
Earlier in the day, someone in TFMR said to just go buy some. I thought HA! BUY TADPOLES?? Who buys tadpoles?
We found a swampy area further down the road and Tony & I searched for tadpoles. There were dozens of frogs, but no tadpoles, no eggs. So I gave up and asked Tony if we could buy some silly tadpoles.
So now, we have two tadpoles that are HUGE compared to my childhood memories of them, an aquarium and food. I asked the guy at PETCO what kind of frog they will grow into, he said a bullfrog. How awesome is that?!
I really think the four of us had fun "tadpole" hunting even though it ended with a trip to the pet store! hehe

OMG!
It finally rained!
Now I hope it stops for a bit so my dump truck load of rocks can be delivered!!! :D
I made a "household" & "outdoor" to do list. Tony and I already finished a couple things on the list! We ROCK!! :D (now to NOT loose the list... and to keep going! hehe) Some of them are projects that we can not do alone. Like, we really need new windows, at least in the basement. They are horrible down there! But fortunately most of the things we can do ourselves and for not a lot of money!

the grass is always greener...
So why is it that *I* want nice green full grass... The guy a couple houses down the road has never (that I have seen) taken any time to do anything in his front yard and yet he has the most green grass on the block?! In fact, there was a huge piece of plastic just floating around in his front yard for three days. Ive never seen him pick up a rake, nothing.
I have raked leaves, and sticks, and nut shells (we have lots of nut trees here I guess...) We even cut down two big bushes out front that caused moss to grow in our front yard.
Saturday morning, if there is no chance of rain, I will be out back, spreading WEED&FEED on our lawn. We have just about every kind of weed known to man that lives in Iowa growing in our back yard. MUST KILL THE WEEDS.

Sick
The kids have been fighting a cold for a couple of weeks now. I just started feeling crappy Monday and Tuesday morning, but last night I started to really feel ill. Then today has been miserable. I did manage to clean the kitchen, but I think thats all your gonna get out of me today. I do not like colds! Course I would rather have a cold then the pukes, so I guess I'll deal with this.

Ive got no pants!
My husband has two pairs of work pants. One has holes beyond repair. Today I got him a second pair of heavy duty work jeans. I hope they fit, and hes happy having two pair now! I also got him a sweatshirt jacket on clearance. He likes wearing things with hoods so he doesn't get paint and hydraulic fluid in his hair. I don't blame him, I would want a hood too!
So now hes got PANTS!

Flowers & a Cat
I got some flower seeds today along with a easy planter thing. All you have to do is add seeds & water, and they will grow, then you plant them. Well the seeds I got were perennials instead of annuals. I think I need annuals for the planter thing. So Zoe and I dug up the ground on the other side of the garage (theres already a flower bed back there with other perennials) and put them in the ground. Now it needs to rain, because I do not have enough money to buy a hose, and your supposed to keep the ground wet for the first couple of weeks. LOL
The other day when I was outside in back doing some yard work, I took a break. I was sitting on the swing and I heard this noise like something was trying to get out of something. I finally noticed that the noise was coming from my neighbors garage. It was a CAT! When he came outside with his black lab, Shadow, I showed him the cat. He was like OMG! The wind blew open the door a while ago, and he closed the door a month ago without opening it since. When he opened the door, a cat popped out, and was very happy to see someone, anyone, to free her. Or at least we think its a she. The kids named her Fluffy, but before the neighbors friend knew, she named the cat Cali. We fed and gave the cat some water, and now she is our friend. Shes sticking around I guess.
We had another outdoor cat a while back, I named him Tom. The neighbor (on the other side) threw him out because he was peeing on things. Well hes a male cat, and not fixed, so its kind of the owners own fault. He stuck around for a while, but being a male cat, he soon expanded his territory away from our porch. I have not seen Tom in a while now.

*SIGH*
So not only have I not done my "pic of the day" yet, I seemed to forgot to blog yesterday.
My husband took me and the girls out to eat the other night to Pizza Ranch. It was so nice doing something as a family outside of the house! We did it together, we got in the car and went. We got there and helped each other by getting plates of food or sodas or other drinks for one another. We functioned as a family, with well behaved children. Instead of driving straight home, Tony drove around a bit. It was nice to just be out with my family and not going home right away.
We bought Caitlin a picnic basket for her birthday. I think we may just have to have a picnic on Saturday! *looks at foxcast* Ooo! 79F !! *puts picnic food on grocery list*
Tomorrow is Friday, I go grocery shopping right away after I drop Caitlin off at school. I feel better when I accomplish things right away in the morning. I really do not like to go home, get out of the car, get Zoe out of the car, go inside, take off coats and shoes, just to later have to get ready to leave all over again. Ive been making several new digi kits! I can not wait to put them up in my store! I am having a blast coming up with new things, and ideas! This is one of the kits I made several kits ago!!

Whooops
So yesterday I decided that I needed to start taking at least ONE picture everyday. Today is day two and I already forgot. I suppose I COULD take one now, but it would be... too forced?
Today was pretty boring. I did one load of laundry, and the dishwasher did one load of dishes. I wanted to do more laundry but I guess I was too damn lazy. I wanted to do some scrapbooking, REAL scrapbooking, but never made it. I was thinking of claiming Tuesdays as "my night" for doing stuff, such as scrapbooking, stamping, or whatever as long as its in my craft room, but again too tired & lazy to do that too.
I also wanted to scrape more of the pillar out front, but considering my "chemical resistant" spray bottle died, and the other ones I have I am scared to use with the paint stripper. Also, I have two "popped" blisters and some small cuts on my hands from doing yard work the other day, I worry that some of the chemicals may spill into the gloves. Thats not really something I would like to experience!
Lots of wants... and for a first, all of them, well except the spray bottle do not include $$$ . That should make my husband happy! LOL

Returning phone calls...
So I called again today, and the other nurse called me back within a half hour. She said she would ask the doctor what to do and would call me whether or not he was in the office. With in ten minutes of that, she called to tell me that they called Walgreen's and had my effexor doubled in dosage. :D I hope this works...

So my day was pretty uneventful until later in the afternoon. In the morning, I took Caitlin to school, came home, took a nap, woke up and decided Zoe, Zeus and I would go get lunch and eat it at the park. We went and got Mc Donald's (except Zeus), then drove to East Park. We sat in one of the covered picnic areas, which was a horrible idea, because it was not very warm in the shade.
After we ate our lunch, we went to watch the geese & ducks. While we were there, a KIMT news truck pulled up. A few minutes later, I was asked "Can I have a few moments of your time?" Um Sure? LOL
Apparently they have problems in the park at night and the cops are too busy or not enough to cover all of the ginormous park. So a year ago, they started a thing where volunteers patrol the park and call the cops if something "suspicious" is going on. Of course last night, a car did some damage to a bush and the grass.
He asked me questions like "why do you think someone would vandalize a park?" "how do you feel about people volunteering to watch the park?" ... stuff like that...
He also filmed a bit of Zoe playing and walking around with her stick.

Ugh. I called my Dr, and had to leave a message for his nurse. I made this call in the morning on Wednesday. Last time I checked, it is now Thursday, after five, and no return phone call. Its a good thing that I am only mildly depressed to the state of not wanting to do anything but sleep. I have no energy and no appetite. I just want them to raise or change my medications. Thats all I want. A return phone call would be very nice.

Snow?!
Ugh I am so done with winter weather, yet we are getting more snow. This sucks!
Well I can not keep these patch cushion things on my foot! They keep falling off! Waterproof, yet not sticky enough to stay put... Foot still hurts... Doesn't seem to matter if I am barefoot, or wearing socks, which I have come to hate.
I tried really hard not to nap today, and now looking back on it, I don't think I did. I got tired, so I got up and did some cleaning, and some "house stuff". Our house is a never ending project! Some day it will be done, then I will be bored! LOL
All in all, a boring day ...

OUCH!
So a month after my foot started hurting, I went to the doctor. He says I have a planters wart on my foot, and it happens to be on a pressure point, and that is causing my severe pain! LOL He gave me three options, 1) freezing it off, 2) scratching it and putting some acid stuff on it, 3) over the counter wart removal and a pad to go around it so I am not putting so much pressure on it! Ya... I chose number 3 even though he said it COULD take up to six months, but at any time I still have the option to change my mind and have one of the other two done.
So I have had this "padded medicated" thing on my foot for a few minutes, and it feels better when I walk, but kinda burns with the medicine! Is it supposed to burn??

Tired
I am very tired lately. I don't know why, its not like I do a lot. I have been sleeping most of the day and night. Friday, I got up to take Caitlin to school, then came home and snoozed on the couch till almost noon. Luckily, Zoe didn't get into much. Although, she did have something brown on her face, and I later found out it was pudding mix. Saturday, I got up to give the kids breakfast, and went to snooze again on the couch till noon. Then hubby got up, and I snoozed another couple of hours. Sunday, again, after feeding the kids breakfast I snoozed. Today, I snoozed till almost noon.
Why am I so tired? I did decide to put my effexor back into my mornings, in case that had something to do with it. Its been over a week since I started taking it at night (so I remember to take it) but I guess, as they said, it is a "morning med".
I need to get out of my morning sleepy slump. I like doing stuff in the mornings, like grocery shop, clean, get organized, that sort of thing, because it makes me feel good. It feels wonderful having everything done before noon! But I am not getting ANYTHING done because I have been sleeping!
Then there is Zoe. She can not ask for ANYTHING with out whining. Its driving me crazy, and I don't know what to do about it. When ever I ask her to do anything, she says "NO!" and goes running off. I have tried to catch her, and make her do what I asked. That hasn't helped either. She can not start "headstart" this fall because she will still be three in September. There has to be SOMETHING I can do with her, some where she can go, to help me and her with this issue. Do not tell me about parenting classes, because I will not go. Ironic
How ironic is it that the same day I receive a letter of denial from my life insurance company because my depression concerns them so they will not cover me, that I get a letter from SS Disability saying that my depression and mental illness is not severe enough to consider me as mentally disabled.
Neither of these two live with me. Life with me is hell. They do not live inside my head. Yes my depression is real, so is my anxiety, and bi polar. I have to live with me. I have to listen to my annoying self. I have to live with the things I think and do. For one day, I would like them to live in my "shoes". I want them to feel what I feel, think what I think, do what I do, to live as I do.
I suffer from depression on a daily basis even on medication. I fight with myself to be happy for what I have, my husband, children, and other things. I want to be happy. I want to do things like normal people do. I want to be the best mom I can be. I try, but I know I lack things here and there, but I try. Sometimes being me, I do not try. I want to try all the time. I live in a constant state of low grade depression. If my children did not wake me up in the morning to tell me that they are hungry RIGHT NOW, I probably would never leave my bed. I hardly ever get dressed in the morning, and I have picked my daughter up from school still in my pajamas and slippers. I can go a week with out showering and brushing my teeth and not even think twice about it. I feed my children meals and snacks, and could careless if I eat more then once in a day. I rarely am "hungry", I eat because I know I have to. I smoke and I do not care. If my mother and grandmother and several of my family members were not alcoholics, I probably would take up drinking just to get through the day.
Even though I am also medicated for my anxiety, I still suffer from it. I do not like going out side, I do not like being around people because I always say something stupid or "put my foot into my mouth". I fear everything. I don't like standing too close to the edge of the porch because I am scared I will fall off. I do not like walking down the sidewalk because I fear a dog will run out and attack me, or that a car will veer off the road onto the side walk and hit me. I fear everything from squirrels to other drivers when I drive. I don' like curtains open because I feel that people are watching me. I do not like them closed because I am scared a burglar will break in and I will not be able to scream and since the curtains would be open, someone, who is watching me, will see the burglar and come to my rescue. I am scared of my gas stove. I worry that it will blow up, same goes for the gas dryer. I am scared that we will have an electrical fire and we will loose all of our priceless possessions. This is just the beginning of what I go through every single day.

I have really strange dreams! I had a dream that Chance told me my website was done & how I needed to get a crap ton of "product" ready to sell! So I felt the need to make stuff today! And thats just what I did! I made a ginormous kit!

Hey
Why didn't anyone tell me I had not updated my blog since Tuesday?? Its Sunday! What the heck people?? I know I complain when others do not update their blogs... lol
Ok so since Tuesday... Its been beautiful outside, it did rain, but its been so nice. Spring Break for my kiddo starts tomorrow... If you have any tips on how to get her to clean her room (so she can GO OUTSIDE), let me know. Cuz I am done. I am ready to throw them all away. But I can not do that!!! UGhhhh.
Friday, Kim & I went up to Medford MN to the outlet mall to do a little shopping. I don't think I spent more then $60. The prices just were not right. I am not a name brand person, my kids only wear name brand stuff when A) its on super sale, or 2) when someone else buys them it!!! Of course, you could just about call "circo" and "faded glory" name brands since, well they have a NAME ON THEM. Any who, I can not see spending more then 10 to 12 bucks for one out fit for a growing child that will be out of it in a few months. I wouldn't mind buying Caitlin more expensive stuff, knowing that Zoe could wear it later on, if her size / season matches up, which most of the time it does.
Saturday, I was outside. Doing what? I am not sure, but I spent a lot of time sitting in our new patio chairs.
Sunday, I vac'ed up 100's of stupid box elder beetles that find living on our house fun. We have these black spots on our outside walls, but when you take a closer look, its the damn bugs. So away I went with my shop vac! My husband was nice enough to clean the water out of the vac, and replace the filters! He also secured our gutters with the brackets that I had to buy. They were just blowing in the breeze, well NOT ANYMORE!
What will I do tomorrow? Who knows, probably laundry, and be outside!!!!

lots to do
Yesterday was beautiful outside. The temp was any where from 47 to 53. I tried to do as much outside as I possibly could. I picked up some dog poop that has been collecting since the first big snow fall, along with some cig butts too. I took some of the staples out of the pillars that are holding up the Christmas lights. I needed to put down some "non skid" stuff on the steps but the temp did not reach above 50 until after I picked up Caitlin from school, and by then, I forgot about it. lol oops

wow
Ok I know remember why I do not clean with bleach / water mixture. The bleach smell gets to me so bad that my nose burns all the way down to my lungs, and it gives me a massive headache! I did not use the bleach, it was the people around me. We were out at the bar (Vibrations) on a cleaning mission to get things ... well... clean. I had to leave to get some fresh air, but even that did not help. I ended up having to come home and laid down. Four hours later, my head is still hurting.
Yesterday, I figured out what was wrong with my website when I previewed it. It took the clicking of one little check box to make things look pretty. Still working on it to get the rest of the bugs out, and well my perfectionism is sort of taking over in that area.
I am so happy tomorrow is Monday. I feel like Monday's are my "fresh start" of the week. I have not been doing well sticking to my routines, which is causing a messy house, and an even more messy brain. So if I can keep on track tomorrow, the rest of the week will be a breeze.
Speaking of breezes, Mondays forecast is 61 degrees!! WOOT! How bout that! TAKE THAT SNOW! hehe

Heat wave
Wow it was 39 degrees outside today. The snow is melting and the puddles are getting deeper. I love it! I can not wait to play outside in the grass and flower beds. I want to plant pretty flowers! (and i hate flowers.) Spring is ALMOST here according to the calender and the weather!

School
So Tuesday is late start. Not only is it late start tomorrow, its also early dismissal because it is the "make up" conference day. So I get to bring Caitlin to school at 9am, and pick her up at 12:15. What kind of crap is that?? Its not MY fault that school was canceled Thursday (original early dismissal day) and Friday! Hopefully they will use their "make up day" on Friday the 23rd, or she will have the 22nd thru April 2nd.

My 15 mins
If you are a devoted reader of my blog, you know that I love FlyLady
She always talks about what you can do in 15 minutes. I recently started reading my book when I am waiting to pick up Caitlin from school. I always get there early, and get easily bored. So, two weeks ago I started to read my book! Ive had this book for a couple of years now, so I ended up starting from the beginning. I am proud of myself for sticking to my reading!
Don't tell anybody, but I actually miss my 15 minutes of reading time on the weekends when I do not pick her up from school!

Ok so I shop at walmart. WHY?? ok cuz they sell shiat for cheep. But good gawd they are starting to really piss me off. Every time I decided that I *LIKE* something, they quit carrying it. This time, its my English muffins. I fell in love with the 12 grain muffins. They were my breakfast, little bit of butter, little bit of strawberry jelly... MmmM YUM!

1) soft cat food. it came in a jug. it was soft. deja did not puke as much while on this food
2) anti frizz stuff. I don't even remember the name of it anymore, but I just know, it was the best stuff and actually worked in my hair...

Walmart
So... we have these self check outs at our Walmart. I tend to use these when I shop with hubby's debit card to skip the part where they ask who I am and why I am using Tony's card.
Today there was no waiting on the lane I went to. So I put my stuff on the thing, rang it up and bagged it. I went to pay, and used the debit card. It asks if you want cash back, no thank you. So I take my receipt, and notice that there is a stack of twenties in the "your cash is dispensed here" place. I look around... I grab it... put it in my pocket and left. What would you do? I mean... I feel really bad for the person who did not grab their cash, but I didn't see anyone even near that lane when I got there. During the time it took me to bag and load up my stuff, no one came to see if they had left it. What was I supposed to do? Take it to the customer service so they could MAYBE find out who it belonged to? What if I accidental DID hit the "cash back" option?
So really... what would you do?

Burr
It is still very cold outside! But it looks like its going to be warming up! I can not wait! I do not like getting all bundled up to take the dog for a walk, and having to CARRY him back because he is too cold to walk, and he acts as if it is painful on his tiny bare feet :(

New Job
Hubby started his new job yesterday! So far he likes it! Wonder how he liked his drive to work this morning with the freshly fallen snow! We have a couple of inches and it is still falling!
Good thing today is late start. My snow brush is in hubby's car!
MmMm menu says tonight is chili. Perfect for the weather since its still below zero outside!
Caitlin has music & PE today, so I wonder what song she will come home singing today! Last time it was "London Bridge" .. No not by Fergie.
Flylady says today we are in the kitchen! Good thing too, its a bit of a mess and could use a good decluttering. I have to find a home for my sewing machine when I am not using it. The craft room would be a great place for it I guess! Maybe since hubby will be home tonight, I will venture out there for the third time since we've moved in. Actually, its been more then three times, but less then ten.

Routines
Every morning, at the same time, this lady in this little red car, runs the same stop sign. I guess that would be a routine right? I wish I could do something with the same consisty as this lady. Maybe not by running stop signs, but by keeping up with my daily routines!
Also, I have a new phobia. Trains. I go the same way every morning to take Caitlin to school because it is less busy then the way that has an over pass over the train yard. This makes it so I have to cross a railroad. I fear that the cross bars, and flashing lights will not alert me to an oncoming train. I know they go pretty slow across this road, but still.
Also, I have a new phobia. Trains. I go the same way every morning to take Caitlin to school because it is less busy then the way that has an over pass over the train yard. Calender
So... some time last week when I took Caitlin to school, I left Zoe home with Tony. Tony was in bed sleeping, and usually Zoe is fine on the couch watching Dora for the 7 minutes that I am gone. She wasn't so good one day. She scribbled ALL OVER my desk top calender! My pooooor calendar! lol I had to make a new February page so I could READ it later!!! Now that Its almost February, I see my nice neat organized calender page. I hope it stays so neat with no scribbles!!!

Sunday
I'm not really sure what happened today. I remember being woke up by Caitlin " Mom, I am hungry, would you get up and make me breakfast?"
I remember getting up to get both Caitlin & Zoe breakfast, then I took a snooze on the couch. I got woke up to Caitlin saying "Mom it is 9, 3, 0" She can not tell time yet, but that's what the cable box said, so that's what she told me. LOL Then I got woke up by her telling me "Mom its 1, 0, 5, 8" oh... OK. OMG. lol Hey its lunch time... So I made lunch.
I went to dollar tree for more paint brushes and a paint tray, which they were out of. So I visited Family Dollar. I found bigger tension curtain rods, some MR CLEAN MAGIC REACH MOPPING PADS!, and a paint tray.
So when I got home I painted the bottom half of the wall that I was unable to do the other night. I had a cat down there that was being overly friendly and kept rubbing up against the wall. I didn't want a white cat, and a hairy wall.
Then, I talked to hubby for a few mins, got the kids ready for Gma to take them to the movies. They saw "Charlotte's Web". Then I went to Menard's to get paint for our bedroom. I also found a vent cover that is not as flimsy as the one that's up there. The cats managed to bust into the cold air return in our room, so there is a dresser there, and that's where I want the bed to be!
After I got home, hubby was still playing his game, so I snoozed some more on the couch. While I was TRYING to snooze, the kids came home.
I woke up and hubby was gone! I went upstairs to go to the bathroom, and he was snoozing! hehe
I guess today was Snooze Day.

Refills
Ok so you buy a product that requires a refile now and then. You would expect to be able to buy these refills at the store that you purchased this item. So, why can I not find these refills? I have previously complained about this product. It is the Mr. Clean magic reach. I can not find the mopping refills. I can find the bathroom scrubbing pads though. I guess I will be off today to find them at either Kmart, or maybe Shopko.
Today is one of those days that I understand why some creatures eat their young. ARGH!
I didnt get all of my tasks done downstairs last night. First, I could not get the two sided tape to stick to the windows. Second, my curtain rods are too short by like an inch. One silly little inch. So I did an anger filled cleaning of the rest of my house.

Ok..
So everyone has a "pet supply" cupboard right? lol
So life is going good, my husband got the job at Winnebago, the four of us have health insurance for next month, that's a WONDERFUL thing, other then the benefits of having it, but my medications would run us about $300+ a month. That's a lot. We also were able to get food stamps for the rest of January, and February. After that, we are done! Hooray! I love the feeling of getting OFF of public assistance.
I love the dollar spot at Target. I have been wanting to get the kids some more "kid" dishes and silverware for a while. They disappear.. into thin air.. *POOF* gone. So they had plates, silverware, bowls, and cups. I loaded up. I got 8 plates total, four bowls, 8 silverware, and two glasses (they only had one style of glasses). Also while at Target, I came across some dog coats that were on clearance for 75% off. So I grabbed two. One little rain coat, and corduroy one. I got home and what do you know? THEY DIDN'T FIT. I have a tiny ass dog... I usually have NO problems getting him the x small. These were TOO SMALL. If the don't fit MY dog, what dog will they fit??? LOL
Well, we only need one more W2. And of course, its the smallest, its under $200 dollars. We got the rest, even the one I thought we would never get. Some were even forwarded. I thought they did not forward those things? Oh well... we got the ones that were.
I am almost finished with MY part of the basement remodel. Just one more coat of paint, wash the windows w/ cleaner, put plastic up (its a bit drafty down there) and the curtains. I think I should be able to finish that tonight! I hope! Because now that is done, I can work on decorating Finally! I think I am going to make it a beach theme. Not no cheesy beach, but nice and luxurious place to go to bed or just meditate. We have one wall thats kind of weird, So I am thinking I might just paint a real beach ... Yes that might be cheesy, but do you have a beach in YOUR bedroom? Is your bedroom YOUR castle? Ours will be... LOL

I tried to blog yesterday, but the sign in was funny and didn't allow me to sign in. And of course I totally forgot what the heck I was going to blog about!!
I had a dream last night that when I got up, there was a light dusting of snow on everything. LOL This morning, when I really got up, there was SNOW; a light dusting on everything. Weird.
I had two errands to run this morning after I took Caitlin to school. Before I could bring her to school, I had to put some gas in my van. The gas light had been on for a few days... oops. Since I was there, I figured I would treat my self to a cappichino. I normally get the Carmel Charger, but of course, they were out so I got the Vanilla Charger. Mmm still yummy Oh.. Back to errands. I dropped Caitlin off at school, then headed to the bank to find out they do not open the drive thru until 8:30am. It was only 8:22am when I pulled thru, so I figured I would go run my other errand; to pay the water & trash bill before they disconnect me some time after 11am. I went to the Water company building on Elm. I walked thru the front door, didn't see any signs or anything, and the second inside door was locked. Then I looked at the disconnect notice and realized the address was different from the one I was at. A guy was coming to work, so I asked him if this was the place that I pay my bill, of course, he told me no. I had to go to City Hall to pay it. That made me a bit nervous, because I had only been there once before, and I was giving them a check knowing there is no money in the account, and I signed it (I'm not on the account). They didn't give me any trouble about giving them the check. WHEW. So after that, I went to the bank drivethru & they were now open.

House
Ok, I love this cute little house, but there are also some things I do not like. First, WHYYY would you put CARPET at the front door... Didn't they think about SNOW or water from RAIN? We do live in Iowa, so these things happen on a frequent basis. Carpet gets wet, then the carpet pad gets wet, then whatever is UNDER the carpet pad gets wet. No good. Not only do I hate stepping in puddles left from snow & water soaked shoes that don't seem to stay on the rugs, but I hate it more when I have socks on, with bare feet it doesn't bother me as much.
Second, why would you use those nasty peel n stick tiles? They are crappy, there are little spaces between them that dirt and goo gets stuck in, and they MOVE. Yes, they move. And they come unstuck. I would rather have lino through out the kitchen and back stairs then them.
Third, why would you cover up a doorway that goes from the kitchen into the entry way by the front door. Why would you leave the back side looking like a door, but the front side a nice finished wall? That is just silly.
Fourth, why would you put two layers of lino in the bedrooms? Yes, I said bedrooms. WTF is that shiat?? Did you know that years ago they would use a tar like substance to get the lino to stick? Yeah. I get to scrape that off the floor. The nice hardwood floor. It needs to be refinished, but for the most part, its in good shape.
Fifth, whats with the unlevel basement floor? why is a section about five feet by seven feet two inches higher then the rest of the floor??
Sixth, outside between the house and the garage door, the "patio" is so uneven and crumbling in some spots, and obviously patched in others. This makes for difficult shoveling and a nice place for ice & leaves to accumulate.

Winter Weather Advisory
Oh the snow.. snow snow snow...
I wish I had batteries for my camera... I let my monsters outside to play in the snow while I did some more shoveling. They had a blast...
Stupid battery operated things. :|
Ok still not sure about the new meds, but having had the stomach flu, which seems to be transforming into a cold, kinda is not helping. And now my body aches from shoveling all that snow. Having two driveways kinda sucks when it comes to snow...
Ohh Desperate Housewives is on! TATA!

Recovering
So.. I had the stomach flu yesterday. Yucky.. glad that's over.. Today though was hell too. I felt like crap. I was dizzy and shaky all day. After sleeping thru the alarm for ten mins, I got up and came down stairs and laid on the couch. I guess I must have fallen asleep. I woke up to Caitlin asking me to make oatmeal. I got up even though I did not want to move, looked at the clock, and it was 8:31am. Um... school starts at 8:30. So I made breakfast and did the usual "Okay GET DRESSED. NOW" thing and sent her to school with a note: "Caitlin is late today because I have the stomach flu and fell back asleep on the couch."
I figured I might feel better after taking one of my medications... So around 7, I took my lamictal. I began to feel a little less dizzy and shaky around 9pm. I can not wait to go to take my other med, go to sleep, and wake up feeling OKAY in the morning. Then I get to pick up after two days of no one picking up after them self. WOW its amazing what two days can do to a house. Must make the house into a nice cozy home again tomorrow.
I talked to my aunt Dawn tonight on the phone for over an hour. Its nice to talk to someone who understands what it is like to suffer from depression on the same level as myself. I discovered that we are on two of the same medications too. That's always interesting to see how medications affect other people. I told her how I used to take all three of my medications at night, and now being off Zoloft and on Effexor, I was told to take it in the morning and how I never remember if I had taken it that day or not. She mentioned that I should write it down. That was one of those DUH! moments that takes someone else to point out for you. I write EVERYTHING else down on my calender... why not what time I take my medication that day??
So tonight, to help me better remember to write down when I take my meds, I cleared off two days worth of soda bottles, cereal bowls, and other miscellaneous crap that collected on top of my ginormous desk calender. Turns out, tomorrow is "Computer, and book check out" so I threw Caitlin's library book on top of her coat, which happens to be on the floor of the entry way.
Oh I hope after taking my medications at the right time tonight and tomorrow help my day go better! I feel like I completely missed two whole days...

Hmm
I guess I posted about the snow too early. This morning when I got up and took the dog out, there was about an inch of snow on the porch, two or three on the steps. Another five on the sidewalks, totalling maybe 5 or six around the cars (since I didn't shovel there the first couple of shovelings)
Okay I think it is time I made a New Years Resolution or two.
1) Stick to my schedule. Cleaning, sleeping, living. Flylady has really helped me out in the past, and I need to stick with this.
2) See no. 1
Ok what other intellectual thing can I add to my blog today... hmm
We got a computer from Tonys brother who got it from someone who got a new one. I can totally see why they got a new computer. This one has a hard drive so small, it goes by MB. LOL crazyness! I might have to use some of the money we got for Christmas from our TFMR buds to buy the kids a new hard drive. Now I just have to find a small, yet not too small one for cheap.
Ok time to get dressed and off to work... er well home... to clean n stuff.. See no. 1

Sick Kiddo, Cold weather, Snow
So last night I thought I was dreaming when Caitlin got sick. Turns out it was not a dream, and poor Caitlin was actually puking. :( Poor kiddo... Oh and now she says she can not eat peanut butter and jelly sandwiches since that was the last thing she ate yesterday. This morning, I get to clean up the aftermath of her being sick. Its almost 10am, and she is still sleeping... My poor kiddo
So it was very cold yesterday. The temp never made it above 9 (F). Our poor furnace was on almost none stop yesterday. Darn drafty old house! Oh well.. we will get that taken care of soon. I did spend a few bucks on caulking when we first moved in. I caulked around all of the inside windows except the basement. And that must come next. It is freezing down there. Must warm it up.
This morning, I slept in. The kids slept in. Weird. I didn't get up until 8:30. When I did get up, I took the dog out, and it was snowing, and accumulating fast. I would love to take the kids out to play in the snow, except Caitlin is sick, and its still only 5(F) outside. So we will sit inside and watch the snow fall. Hopefully it will stick around a while after it warms up a bit.

OMG
Who said it could be this cold outside?? BURRRRR *shiver*
Its been between 1 and 9 degrees (F) all day. That doesnt include the bone chilling wind that keeps popping up!
Caitlin says tonight "Its going to be warm tomorrow, mom" I said "what makes you think that??" "Because I have school" ... "Tomorrow is Saturday, Caitlin"
Tomorrow will be one week since I started Effexor. I am still unsure if I am just going thru withdrawels from the Zoloft, or getting used to the Effexor, or both. I definatly dont feel like I did before I started the Effexor though. That is good.

Whew
Ok so I am supposed to give these new pills a while before they will work. Im feelin kinda ... well... its hard to explain. Im not going thru what I was while on the Zoloft, so thats good. Feeling like that isnt good. And I dont want to go into that.
Just thought I would update. Not sure what else to say... Course I could say that I had a mania induced cleaning session the other day. That was fun. Four straight hours of nothing more then cleaning. I did everything from picking up around the house, to vac'ing the floors, sweeping, mopping, dusting, laundry, dishes (well the dishwasher did them), cleaned the counters... and other cleaning things. LOL

Oh yeah...
So.. Last night when Zoe went to bed, she was wearing her pink footie pajamas. This morning, she came down wearing her dora night gown. When did she change her clothes?? Cuz when I saw her at 10:30pm, she was still wearing the footie pjs. Weird.
Im not sure what was going on in the pretty princess castle room last night, but neither of the children wanted to sleep in there. I found one kid in bed with me, not sure what time that was, or when or how she went back to her own bed. I found the other sleeping on the couch when I was moving around.

Its Friday!
The last day of the school week, the first day Tony has off from one job, the day I finally was able to talk to my mental health specialists nurse. I have an appointment on Feb. 15th, but I have known for a long time that I need something different. This just isnt working out. After calling yesterday, today when I called, I told them "I really need to get in sooner..." She checked the other doctors schedules then offered the nurse of my drs voice mail. I left a message, she called me back then asked me a few questions, said shed talk to the dr and call me back. She did a couple of hours later, I wasnt expecting a call until hmm 5ish? lol So YAY! For me! New med! Effexor...

Im not going to make any new years resolutions this year. I failed miserably at last years. I did not stick to my schedule, causeing much chaos for my family. I guess you could say that I sort of did the visit more of the family thing by moving to Mason City, Iowa, since the girls have great grandmothers in Iowa Falls. I have yet to go there. I failed to keep up to date with my scrapbook group, and other clubs because of moving, having no internet on my computer, then my computer blew up. I dont think I will ever be able to "relax and enjoy life" because I am always stressed and tense.
So I guess in a round about way, I have not taken any steps to better myself or life.

The Zeus
Well I guess its my own fault, but he pee'd on the floor last night. He jumped down from my shoulders, and dissapeared. Then he came back to me with a very guilty look on his face, so I went on a puddle hunt. Found one on the landing of the steps... To the kennel he went. I never really take him out when he wants to go for two reasons.. 1) i take him out so much as it is, 2) I never really figured out what he does when he wants to go out...
My new thing for the day is, he stays in his kennel. I let him outside when ever he barks. This will hopefully do two things A) he barks to go out, 2) he doesnt bark when hes in his kennel. HA! Wish me luck, hes already been out twice for barking while in the kennel.

Pickin on Caitlin
OK first off, how am I supposed to update my blog when theres a cat that likes to lay half way on my keyboard??

Ok so Im not sure on how this got started, but last night was "Pick on Caitlin" time. Shes always asking whats for dinner, is it ready yet, and a million other questions. So Tony, Bryan and I told her it was her turn to make dinner. She told us that she didnt know how to cook... So we all whined about how hungery we were. She said "FINE!" and said she only knew how to make peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. We all said "OKAY!" and she was off to the kitchen. She took out the bread & jelly and then said "I DONT KNOW WHERE THE PEANUT BUTTER IS"... "Oh there it is..." Then we all yelled to her how we wanted our sandwiches. One of us said w/mustard, another said toasted, another said mayo. We kept changing our minds and saying something else. It was so cute... she took her chair into the kitchen and says "I can not reach the plates!" She proceded to get the bread open and put it into the toaster (i have it on almost the highest setting cuz i make myself english muffins for breakfest) ... Im not really sure what she did between, cuz i was on the couch and could not see into the kitchen.
I asked tony, is she really making toast? He shook his head yes... LOL a few mins later, we hear the toaster pop... then we smell burnt toast... she says something about how its burnt or too done or something...
After about 20 mins of us badgering her, she walks out of the kitchen with a peanut butter & jelly sandwich for Zoe, then brings out her sandwich... lol
omg it was so funny...

Happy Saturday!
Four days till School starts! Oh should I be counting down?? LOL
So I guess we are supposed to get some snow? My FFweather says no snow till Sunday...but I guess thats only tomorrow... As long as the snow doesnt affect the kids going back to school.
My friends boy is here today too (he was here yesterday) so hopefully the kids stay busy. Im not sure what I am gonna do today but I need to be productive.
Stupid paypal! I am tring to shop for our TFMR Secret Santa gifts, but it wont let me pay for my stuff (even though I have more then enough in there) because I dont have a credit card or bank account attatched to my paypal anymore. STUPID. bleh.

Christmas / Winter Break
UGH! Who came up with this horrible two week off crap? Dont they know kids get bored to tears when they are at home for this long? Dont they know parents get bored to tears LISTENING to how bored the kids are?? WHYYYY WHYYY WHYY Do they put us thru this?!
With all the toys they got for Christmas, you would think they would have stuff to do all day every day for the rest of the next year... but noooo....
Caitlin has been talking non stop! Even the entire ride to Hayward, and part of the way home, she chattered. Endlessly. About nothing. Kinda like im doing here. LOL
Then there is Zoe, who can not pass a day with out throwing a fit. She constantly asks for food. Zoe -"Mom can I have fruit snacks?"
me - "you just had some"
Zoe - "mom can i have..."
me - NO you just ate breakfest...and you didnt even finish it.
Zoe - "MOM CAN I HAVE FRUIT SNACKS?"
(she will ask every minute for the next twenty mins) ...
then she moves on to
Zoe - "MOM can i have a cereal bar?"
me - NOOOOOOOOOOOoo (again every min for the next twenty.)

Day before Christmas...Con't.
We had an early Christmas here at our house. Part of our early Christmas was the party we had last weekend.
Saturday morning, R & K , and B & K came over to open presents with the girls since we would be gone for Christmas Eve & Day.
Zoe actually got to open her presents because she wasnt ill yet. She did need some help because she wanted to play with the first one she opened. Then the second... then the third.... lol

Caitlin asked for this dog. A dog with a collar. I was completly baffled... I had no clue what she was talking about. One day when i was at Fleet Farm, I asked. They showed me the wake up rescue pet! LOL OK now i was getting some where. Kim had asked me what else to get the girls, and the dog popped into my head! Heres their dogs!

Happy Holidays
Well the girls and I went up north to see my aunt and uncle...Got there around 5 on Christmas Eve. Of course, Zoe spiked a fever and complained of her ear hurting. She was up all night screaming and crying :( My poor Zoe.. So I drove home Christmas Day and got home around midnight. Zoe was not feeling well at all, she didnt even open her gifts! :(

Merry Christmas
The kids and I are leaving some time in the morning tomorrow for Wisconsin. Im not sure when we will be back. Im not sure about anything these days! LOL everyone keeps askin me "when you leaving? what time? when will you be back?" i dunno... I havnt really put much thought into it because I dont really feel like being stressed because "I am leaving at 9am", and I'm no where NEAR being ready and its 10am. I DO know that if I leave early enough that I can make it to Karen and Renee's Christmas Eve party...But again, I dont want to say "IM LEAVING AT 9am." lol

Laundry
Why must the hamper be bottomless?? How did we get sooo many clothes again?? I weeded them all out so we had enough to get by on... and now we can go a month with clean laundry with out washing anything... Where did it come from?? Where did all my socks go? The kids have tons, hubby has six tons, where are MY socks? The sock monster hits again...

Good Morning!
This morning, for no reason that I can figure out, I woke up at 6:30. I kind of wanted to go back to bed, but I did not. I started some laundry, cleaned up in the kitchen a bit, filled up the dishwasher, and started it.
Today is late start, so Caitlin did not have to be to school until 9am. I am happy I did not go back to sleep because I would not have wanted to get up to take her! Caitlin is "Super Star" this week. That means she decorates a "All about me" poster, brings in different things every day. Tuesday is favorite toy, Wednesday is favorite book - She chose "How do Dinosaurs Clean their room", Thursday is "Bring your favorite hobby or collection" - Her collection are The Littlest Pet Shop toys which are very small so I took three pictures and printed them out for her to take to school, Friday she is to bring her favorite snack to share - She wanted to bring fruit snacks!
So we got her "class photo" on Friday. They dont make them the way they used to, you know, all the kids stand up infront of the camera. This came on an 8 x 10 sheet, with her photo being bigger, then smaller school pics of the other kids with their names under them. Weird. Oh well, at least no one got to make funny faces or bunny ears in it!
After taking Caitlin to school, Zoe and I went to WalMart. Have you ever had to LEAVE a store because of someones purfume?! OMG my nose was burning! Normally this sort of thing doesnt bother me so bad! My eyes started watering.. ugh.. I had to leave.. I wasnt done grocery shopping, but the whole side of the store smelled...
I want to paint the hallway today so I can put up my curtains! I dont like those stupid pull down roller blind things. They dont like me either...
Caitlin, her teacher, and a few of her classmates were on the front page of todays paper! They did a fundraiser "Coins for Cheer". So go buy a paper! (well if you live here .. grandma.. LOL )

damn dog bit me! Grr.. Its my own fault... I was brushing Caitlins hair when she said "Mom stuffing came out of Zeus's baby". (Zeus has a teddy bear) So... thinking omg he could swollow it, I immediatly reached down to grab it from him with no warning and I grabbed his mouth. So.. he bit me! Ouch ... it hurts... he actually broke the skin! :( Oh well.. Im over it, and I know he is.

Can I sleep now?
Ok so the party went great, wish Tony and Gma C could have stayed a bit longer, but well Tony had to get to work, and Gma C had to get home. I hope everyone had a good time at my first get together OTHER then birthday partys. Those I just make sloppy joes and say OK!
Today I made a pork tenderloin, sweet potatoes, mashed potatoes, green beans and buns (pulsbury of course!) Gma C and Craig brought some potato salad, baked beans w/ mini weaners, and some other salad stuff. They also made a pumpkin desert that was reallly yummy along with some chex mix. I put out pretzils, meat and cheese tray, and some christmas sugar cookies (pulsbury of course!) Hubby made (ok went to the store and purchased) a hersheys pie and a banana cream pie.
I am exhausted. I probably wont get anything done around the house for a few days now unfortunatly. That is no good. Positive thoughts. I must remain productive. I have to take a road trip next weekend and I need to leave my house in an orderly fashion so I can return to a nice clean house.

My dr is trying to kill me
So I called in my refils for my 3 different pills last week Thursday expecting to be able to pick them up on Friday. Only one of them was ready. I have no pills, so they give me two of the other two that are not filled to get me thru till Monday. Monday I go to pick up my pills, still not ready. So they give me one more of both the two that have not been called back about yet. Tuesday, one of them was filled. Got to pick up the third on Wednesday.
Anyways, I went two days without the third pill. I felt weird yesterday. Like I had zero energy and zero drive to do ANYTHING. That sucked. We are having a get together at our house on Sunday, and I have lots to do before then. An entire day wasted.
Ok gotta take the kid to school!

Pretty In Pink?
Here is the girls pretty princess castle room. Dont mind the blue tape still in the corners, the unfinished doors (we are going to be stripping them back to original WOOD.) or the ripped plastic that was my attempt to keep them toasty this winter, but they didnt want to be warm, so they poked holes and ripped them....
Also... in my mind, i had envisioned the accessories to be bigger and the shelves to be smaller... and I cant find the tea sets i want to put on the other shelves ... lol and yes they appear to be croocked, and those suckers are a bitch to put up!
Ok... so here is my design disaster... Oh yes... a valance to come later when i get some $$$ to buy it.

I thought we were done...
scrapeing all the old wallpaper and paint off... We got off a few layers of paint and a layer of wallpaper then another layer of paint. Under it all was another layer of wallpaper. We thought since it was pretty well stuck, we would have no problems painting over it. Um. no. I started painting and it started to come off... SUX. .. But the paint did make it come off very easily. Until the paint dried.

Oh... I was going to get a Pug puppy, even after the mini pin came along...
The mother of my pug pup gave birth to two males and one female, female being mine. Well, the female died :( saving the lives of the boys :P
Thats ok. Zues can get more used to us, and winter can pass then I will think about getting one. Might be easier to train a puppy in the spring then winter.

Ok sooo I am here. I am alive. I busted our computers, and now one is sorta fixed. So I am here. Online.
Things new with me and my family...
We got a house. An actual two bedroom 1 and a half story house with a full basement and a garage that was turned into a shop. What we thought was not our back yard, turned out to actually be ours.

We got a dog. He is a mini pinscher, in a copper color. We sort of rescued him. The owner, if you can call him that, left him outside all of the time because his g/f did not like dogs. When the "owners" sister went to pick up Zues, he was in his kennel in the garage with no food or water. When we got him, you could see every one of his ribs. :( poor doggie ... hes doing much better! :) Pics to come later
